Changing themes of the survey provide up-to-date information on the industry. FSIS is the longest-running software industry survey in the world. The first survey was conducted already in 1997.
In 2022, the survey was conducted by the University of Jyväskylä in cooperation with the Finnish Software and E-business Association, the University of Vaasa, and the Federation of the Finnish Technology Industries. Survey themes were business, internationalization, social media, human resources and staff turnover, data use, and the effects of the Covid-19 crisis on the industry.
